Hi Meg:
Congrats on the pregnancy! To tell you the truth I wish I had have known about bellydancing when I had my fist child 13 yrs ago....I know that it is considered to be good exercise & conditioning even during pregnancy. There are instructors in my area here in Seattle who teach classes for pregnant women.
I suggest that you go at your own pace & obviously listen to your body....if you want, I can see if I can do some checking into if there is an instructor in your area that instructs during pregnancy! Just let me know what area you live in....

I am in the early weeks of pregnancy, about 5 wks, is it ok for me to continue? Is there anything I should avoid? My midwife isn't too familiar with bellydancing.
Thanks,
