My name is Colleen and I am your new Breast Cancer Host. I am very excited to be here.
I am 27 years old, and was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer about eight months ago. Fortunately, I discovered it very early and my tumor was very small. I had lumpectomy to remove the tumor and a few nodes, one of which was positive. I then went through dense dose chemotherapy for four months, and am currently going through radiation. After that, I'll be on Tamoxifan for five years. Whew! That's a lot to do. But I'll gladly do it to make myself well. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I'm a writer and editor by trade, so I hope hosting will be right up my alley. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I plan on visiting these forums frequently, so post away. I promise you you'll get an answer of some kind!
On a personal note, I enjoy animals and have two cats, two dogs, and a fish. My favorite movies are the cheesy ones, which makes me a huge musicals fan. I love sports too. I personally make a practice of running, yoga, and rock climbing (or at least I do when I'm not sick - I have new climbing shoes that I can't wait to try out!).
