Hi, I'm Meg. I'm the homeschooling and school reform host here at Bella.

Please excuse me for not replying earlier, I've been extrememly sick lately! Funny thing is - it's not the pregnancy! It's the flu, and colds, and sinus, argh!!

Anyhow! I have two daughters (one in elem. school, one in preK) and a child on the way.

We are very eclectic and very Charlotte Mason, and we don't really follow any pre-set curriculum. We do use Alpha-Omega Lifepacs for math and Handwriting Without Tears, but that's the extent of our pre-packaged curricula. In fact, we might not use either of those next year at all. Most everything else is in informal unit study style, designed by me, and based on great literature and current interests. My husband is a scientist, so we are very much into science and nature studies.

Welcome to the homeschool channel, and to the homeschool journey!

As for resources for newbies - I can't give you any resources for the UK as I am not familiar with laws or websites - however, I am sure if you look on the net you'll find lots of goodies.

My (more than) one word of advice to all newbies - let your kids be themselves and don't try to compare yourselves to other families. Don't try to keep up with the Jonses. Relax, and have fun.
