Sorry James, I don't think you have a concept of what life is, but I want you to start thinking outside of popular politically correct ethics.[/qb]
I understand what you are saying and as i said before i dont have strong feelings on abortion as there are strong arguments before and against it, i come from England where everyone seems to be much more liberal and by European standards most people on this board would be far far right (to the point of jokingly being called facists). If the law was up to me i would probally make abortion illegal apart from in the following circumstances: rape, under 16s, tests showing the baby would be severly dis-abled, mother has a terminal illness ect.. etc.. Most people (in europe at least) would class being anti-abortion politically correct ethics rather than vice versa.

Here in the states, what makes one feel good at the time and abortion for convenience is becoming increasingly politically correct.
I don't mind being called "right-wing" or faciast or what ever as long as they call me a Christ follower. (incidentally, before that statement gets out of hand, I don't believe in everything that has been attributed to the religious-right.I beieve in what the Bible teaches.)

i think we will have to agree to disagree on both this and the thread about christmas. However i really do think these right wing religous fanatics are far far worse than al queda (who actually have a reason to fight as they have been persecuted against by american Forign policy for years*) and should be lined up against a wall and shot.

*note- i am not saying i agree with there methods just their cause.

There is seems to be two problems with the pro-abortion stance.
1. It's legal, so it's okay.

2. Most Americans agree with legal abortions, so it's okay.

There have been many actions that have been legal in the past, but we look at now with aborance. Slavery, forced sterilization, segregation, etc., were all legal. Most Americans agreed that this was simply the way things were and saw no need to change. We did change as a society. The majority of Americans now recognize these as immoral actions. I pray it will be the same with abortion.

Thank you. We often look at "worst case" scenarios instead of the "norm" in abortion issues.

eek Abortion is always a touchy subject. And the tendancy is to not ruffle any feathers, however that's never been my style if you've ever read some of my articles... <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I strongly feel that abortion is murder. Remember Columbine? We as a nation were aghast when we heard about the massacre there, children killing children. It is a fact that more abortions are preformed on teen age girls in this country than ever before... and this is WITH parents approval. More children killing their own children. What are we teaching our young people? That there are no consequences to their actions? That with the wave of a magic wand we can take away everything that reflects on us negativly? I for one, take a stand against the norm--I vote no on abortion ever being the normal, reasonable respondse to an accidental pregnancy. It's murder of an innocent, a sin against God and a down right disgusting blight on society. It's not my right. I don't claim it. My right is in saying no, in being obedient to God. eek
