We had a great New Year's. I do confess to mostly red wine to welcome the New Year.
Last night we had friends over and served the Charles de Fere Reserve Blanc de Blancs Brut. It's made by an old Champagne family, but is made in Burgundy.
It's a great buy at $9 a bottle. You could serve it with light foods, but we enjoyed it with dessert. It went well with the
Torta Riccolina I made and the lebkuchen our friends brought.
