patterned or solid papers? Or about the same for both? do you have a background preference?

I love both and use them both A LOT! I used to use more patterns for my backgrounds, but I think it is more evening out now. I use a LOT of solids, too, it seems now <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Well, I'm still relatively new to this and I started out doing it the CM way so I am still using mostly solids but I absolutely love all the pattern papers that are out there and I can't wait until I get enough experience (and courage!) to start using them along with vellum

I use both. I dont' really like loud prints though. I'm more of the soft pastel, earth tones type. But right now I'm almost out of paper and will use whatever I've got! LOL
