I am new to this group and writing to ask if anyone knows how to
attach sunburst pleats to a yoke. I am trying to copy a design of a
long floor length A-line gown made of 2 tiers of sunburst pleats, the
top tier being attached to a yoke at the upper chest/shoulders. With
knife pleats, or box pleats, this is easy, as these kinds of pleats
lie flat, however sunburst pleats do not. Even at the top, the pleats
still have enough heighth that they do not lie flat, so my question
is who do you sew the top of these pleated panels to a flat piece of
fabric or yoke? If anyone knows, please let me know as this would
much help me out.
