Win a Professional Tarot/Numerology Reading!

It is time for our third Bella Tarot Trivia contest, with a prize of a professional one-hour Tarot/Numerology Reading for our monthly Trivia Contest winner.

Our Bella Host, June Kaminski (professional reader name: Rajuna) will personally provide one of her in-depth readings, carefully transcribed for convenience and instant reference. The Numerology component of the Reading will provide a comprehensive synoposis of the winner's Name Interpretation, Birth Number and Destiny Number Analysis.

The first contestant to answer 9 (a powerful number!) trivia questions correctly will win the Reading. This contest is open to any participant living in the USA or the UK who is aged 18 years or older. Posts must be unedited to qualify as answers. The prize will be shipped (published format) to the winner at no cost.

The Tarot/Numerology Reading is worth $90. The winner will be invited to submit up to five questions to be addressed in the Reading. For complete sweepstake rules, Click Here!

The current Tarot Trivia Contest will begin on the Full Moon in Capricorn, Friday July 2nd .

A new Reading Contest will begin at each Full Moon. Good Luck and tell your friends!

Our May Winner was Michael Boyle!

Our June Winner was Fiona Wolff!

Hi Chef Kitty,

I feel very foolish - I didn't notice that your answer had been edited, and went ahead and awarded you a point. Unfortunately, the BellaOnline rules for contests and sweepstakes indicate that qualified answers can not be edited. You can read the guidelines here:

Sweeps Rules

I feel really bad about this - I should have noticed. I hope this won't deter you from participating in the contest....

The only thing I can think of regarding the BOTA, is that they created a colorless tarot based on the RWS deck. (Maybe this will help someone with the 'real' answer )

BOTA has an interesting chart on their site related to the Major Arcana and its correspondents:

Okay, I admit - this was a sort of loaded question in that there is more than one Renaissance deck,..in fact there are even more besides these two. Remember though, that all of the answers to the questions I ask in this contest can be found right here on this site. It is Brian Williams' deck that is featured in the Tarot Shop, so LRMart gets the point for this one.

Good reply though, Michael!

The Majors usually indicate big-picture issues in a querent's life, whereas Court Cards usually represent individuals, or a personality trait/attitude present in the querent.

What exactly are the Trump Cards and the Court Cards?

The trump cards are the 22 major cards starting with the Magician #1 and ending with the fool #22
They are the power cards that out weigh all the other cards in impact and effect.
The Courts cards are the King, Queen, Knight and page of each suit for a total of 16 cards. The 4 knight cards are the instigators of change. The other 12 cards have several differnetn funcions, each represents a astrological sign, the represent people, and types of people and they can depict events and the kind of vocation that is associated with the person.
So the King, Queen and Page has a personality, time fame and vocational aptitude.

The trump cards are indeed Magician through The World. Some say that The Fool is not really "at the beginning", as much as he visits all the other Majors as archetypal dynamics unfold. For example, while we enter the world naive and full of hope as a child (The Fool), we can also bring that kind of energy to the other archetypal "stations" of the Majors. The Majors are universal in that their expression can be found in any culture, gender, or society. There is the archetype of creative force utlizing the 4 elements reflected in the Minors (Earth, Fire, Water, Air), as portrayed in the Magician, the Death process as portrayed in the Death card, the taming of the beastly nature within and drawing upon compassion in The Strength card, etc. These are the "life" archetypes often portrayed on a grand scale--and found in fairy tales, myth, and cinema.

The Court Cards are often the Guides, Teachers, and Mentors of the Tarot. They can be archetypal as well, but are more specialized and personalized (such as Queen of Swords=Amazon or Queen of Cups=Mother). Some authors attribute eye and hair color to specific Court Cards, as well as Jungian/Myers-Briggs functions and other personality traits.

Me too. LOL It's odd how I don't really "see" myself in the Queens or feminine cards (although I might share their traits), but instead see myself as The Hermit. It's really strong archetypal energy in my psyche.
