I am not that computer literate so I need any advice I can get. I have a fairly new computer, it's a Dell and I bought it a year ago. Everything has been working great. I do not have a lot of programs installed on my computer (i have one pc game) and that's it. The other day my roommate went onto pogo.com and ever since then my computer will bairly run. I went and dowloaded this thing called spydoctor ans it made it worse. Then I went and bought some spyware software and the items it is finding have passwords on them and cannot be deleted. Any ideas on my my computer is running so slow?

I would call Dell. If you go to their website they should have a customer service phone number. They can usually walk you through the problem. There have been some really nasty computer viruses going around though so I would get some help ASAP. In order to prevent this from happening in the future, make sure you always have updated anti-virus protection. I hope that helps!!

One reason a computer will run slow is if it's infected by spyware. A lot of those anti-spy software out there are'nt very effective.

Out of all anit-spy software, i've come to like but one. Microsoft anti-spy, it's free and it works!

You can go to microsoft.com site and search and download microsoft anti-spy, install and run it on your comp and seei fit helps.

I have a Dell. They do not support Spyware. They will try to sell you something as they did me. Just run adaware, spybot and stinger programs which can be downloaded free and run. Then do daily if needed but once a week for sure.
