OK, I'm trying my first apple-slices-and-peanut-butter today in my attempt to eat more fruits and veggies. I had a banana for breakfast too.

Question 1, how does the peanut butter stay on the apple? It seems to just slide off. So I have to sort of mush it down to get it to stay on

Question 2, I'm looking in horror at the peanut butter jar as I eat these and it says I'm getting 190 calories for every 2 Tbsp, with 140 of those being from fat. Is this really good for me?

It is pretty yummy tho

Well, bless your heart, Lisa, you are trying, aren't you?

Apple and peanut butter is a favorite of mine too. Actually peanut butter and anything is at the top of my yummy list.

You get the peanut butter to stay on by cutting the apple into little flat slices. Then it's just like eating it on a cracker, only a lot juicier. If that's already what you're doing, maybe it's the kind of peanut butter you're using. But, I've never had a problem.

I thought of taking pictures of how to slice the apple and spread the peanut butter. But, alas, then I'd have to eat the props. And, yes, I'm afraid peanut butter is high in fat! So, I save it for very special treats.

Good luck, Lisa. It's a slippery affair.

Thanks Lisa, you've added yet another thing to my cravings actually I LOVE celery and peanut butter. And the peanut butter stays right in the groove of the celery. With apples... well I'm afraid I go overboard and just scoop a huge glop of peanut butter on the end of the apple slice

Peanut butter on carrot sticks is pretty good too! Try that all natural peanut butter - at least is has more "good fat" in it. Although the taste is somewhat lacking - my mom sprinkles some Equal on her natural peanut butter!

I was doing one apple into around 8 pieces so the slices weren't like crackers, they were more like ... ummm ... wedges So I sort of had to dollop. I suppose I can't eat these all the time if the peanut butter is that fatty!

I do like celery, but I'm not too fond of carrots. Too sharp carroty tasting for me I love carrot cake though! I'll have to get some celery next week.

LOl Lisa! My husband says that I'm a hypocrite, I hate carrots, but I LOVE carrot cake. The catch is, I only like the carrot cake that is made with the premade mixes. So they don't really have much by way of carrots in them
mmmmmmmmm carrot cake...... oh! I've got carrot cake in the cupboard! Gee, can you guys tell why I gained 50 pounds with my last pregnancy? Oh well, at least I loose it all pretty quickly afterwards.

Know what is Yummmmmmmmmmy, but totally bad for you? when you make hamburgers, put montreal seasoning on them, and then cover them with honey (I do mean DRENCH them!) cook on a grill, serve with lettuce, cheese etc. mmmmmm good! Oh, it's best with montery jack cheese, shoot I misspelled that, oh well

I think carrot cakes are really mostly spice cakes with bits of orange stuff in them which is why I can enjoy them

I had my banana for breakfast today and now for lunch I guess I'll have garlic hummis and pita bread. I love that And lots of water!

Hi, Lisa, Jessica and Lisa...

Ya'll are so funny! Equating carrots to carrot cake...I love the spicey part but mostly the icing. Now if they could just figure out how to make it a healthy snack! LOL Apples and peanut butter is an excellent dessert, tho!

I like peanut butter... but I'm scared of it, so I only use a little. "Ants on a log" are nice (celery with peanut butter in the groove and raisins on the peanut butter), but I haven't had them in sooooooo long. I have raw almond butter as well, and the calories and fat are basically the same. Is it any healthier? Taste-wise, you just can't beat peanut butter though. Scarey for me though!
