First let me make it clear that I am a book/pattern junkie but I did notice that there are certain books that I refer to on a constant basis. If I have a knitting problem I always grab my Vogue Knitting and if I can't decide what stitch I want to use I get out my Harmony guides. What about you , which ones do you favor ?

Vogue Dictionary of Knitting Stitches

Pam Dawson's A Complete Guide to Knitting

Usually I find the answer somewhere in that little lot.
