As one who is new to knitting, the scarf project is a major piece of work. What would you suggest is a reasonable rate of work, i.e., how may rows per day or per week?

The biggest needles I have are No. 8. I was going to start the scarf with 20 cast-on stitches vs 15 in your pattern with No. 11 needles. Is that a good enough estimate? :rolling:

Everyone has a different pace. Remember it is just a practice piece that will help you get very familiar with the "knit & purl" stitch.
