Hi Everyone, Some of you may have noticed the name change but just in case you didn't I will be taking over the knitting site, of course I will still be your crochet host also. So it will be like getting twice the fun!!! I love to hear any ideas or suggestions that you would like to see on the knitting site so don't be shy, let me know.

I'm glad you're the new host of the knitting site. You were so helpful while I was learning to crochet, I'm sure you will be just as much help when I try to learn to knit. Congrats, and expect to hear from me often.

Great, I'm thinking we should make a scarf as the first project. We will learn how to cast on and then get plenty of practice with the knit stitch, does that sound good ?

That's great Eva! :music:
You have been most gracious and helpful with crochet, and I am confident you will be just as supportive for knitting.
As a matter of fact I have a knitting related question. Browsing through an historic article on needlework, a woman mentioned a "wrister" as part of her course in knitting. What is a wrister? Would it be a cuff of some sort?

Thanks Eva! A that sounds GREAT! My mom taught me how to cast on years ago, but when I tried it, it didn't look the same.

Thanks Eva! Now I know what a wrister looks like.
That gives me a start to learn more about wristers. For example what's the point of covering the wrist and not the fingers, assuming the wrister is for use in cold weather. Hmmmmm... :rolling:
