I hope you don't mind my posting here. My mother has knitted traditional Shetland ring shawls for years (yes you really can draw them through a wedding ring, it's not just a myth) and I had thought Jamieson & Smith, the traditional suppliers of the fine lace weight yarns, had gone out of business.
