I think this should be pampering week for all of us. We deserve it!!

I have a clay mask from the Body Shop that I hardly ever use, even though it feels really nice! So I went upstairs and am now sitting here with a white face I guess that's an advantage of working from home!

Do you use face masks, and if so, what kinds of you like? I like this clay one and another clear one I have.

I turned 30 this week, and to celebrate, I gave my self a five day weekend to do whatever I wanted (in a "home-based vacation" sense.) It's my third day of leisure, and I am feeling great!

I have big jacuzzi tub that I try to get in at least once a week. When I purchased my house it was the one "indulgence" I allowed myself. It did cost extra but I figured at even one hour a week compared to all the other hours I devote to my family it would pay for itself.

Happy birthday Debi!!

I always wanted a jacuzzi or hot tub but my boyfriend isn't keen on them. My sister had one, and my dad had one, and both of them rarely used theirs. So I wonder if I would think it was neat at first but then rarely take care of it or use it ... especially if it was fully outdoors ...

Thanks for the birthday wishes- so far 30 feels just fine, and I should say, my five-day weekend hasn't been all "leisure," we did fall cleaning today, and tomorrow we're going to work all day at our friend's vineyard-(yep, we have 6 vineyards here in Minnesota, our friend's is the "Alexis Bailly Vineyard".) I think I'll be getting in our hot-tub after a day of picking grapes and pouring wine- We got a new house last fall, and it came with a big hot-tub in a cedar lined room in the basement. We used it a lot last winter, and I'm sure we will this winter too. It had been something we hoped to get "someday" since I've loved them for years, so when we found a house that came with one, that was a huge bonus!

It is great to pamper yourself and always nice to be spoilt. When i feel like something special i buy my treats from a company in the Uk called richgiftsdirect.co.uk they not only offer a fast service they also wrap everything up so nicely and have a great after sale's service. sometime's what i buy is wrapped so nicely i hate to open it. Nothing like pampering yourself.

Great thread idea.... I usually take a nice long bubble bath or just go on a walk by myself. I also like to indulge with a big bowl of ice cream but I try to steer more toward the walks though - much better for me

I hardly EVER pamper myself and yesterday for the first time ever I went to the beauty salon and had my hair foiled, cut and styled!!! WOW, I'm beautiful! LOL

I think that everyone deserves to step back and take a pampering moment. It feels great.

I'd love a jacuzzi.

As for masks, I use one by Mary Kay and one by Clinique. A good cleaning always makes me feel better.

Haircuts always do the trick for me too... Sometimes just doing something that is all about beauty helps me take a few minutes just to myself, away from my hectic life!

The first time I really tried a hairdo to relax was more like a self-booster. I worried about getting my hair colored. After I finally made an appointment and let the professional put the color on, I was so happy of the result, that it boosted my self-esteem.
I'm a level 9 blonde for natural color and I'mm now down to a level 5 light/medium brown color, because I love the more dark hair colors.
So I guess doing this is pampering yourself.

Tip for students: set an appointment with your barber right after the last exam. It's always a very good treat for finishing the exams with. It doesn't have to be something special, a good wash with a little massage can do the trick. It doesn't have to be coloring/perming/brushing/cutting, just tell that you have finished the last exam and if the barber takes real care of you and your hair, your bound to get a nice wash and massage!

Guess what? I give massages and reiki. More info here!

A haircut always works for me too!
Just sitting in the salon seems to isolate you from the outside world for a bit.
Putting on a face mask and curling up with a good book while it works is good!

I prefer to take baths to pamper myself. I do love face masks but done myself I don't really like it so I have facials for that. For my baths I love anything that makes bubbles but sometimes I will go for something that do not make bubbles. Sometimes I put on music while taking baths, sometimes I use a machine with nature sounds and sometimes just silence.

I pampered myself with some extra sleep, green eggs for Read Across America Day, and a nice dinner. I also took some extra time to read today.

Extra sleep, that's what I really wanted.
