Nice article. You know what I would have like to have seen? How to deal with someone else's dandruff. Should you mention it? Could you mention it? Especially if you know a product that would be of benefit to them. Or is that just plain rude?

eek Yikes! I know what you mean. I think it would depend on that individual and how close you are.

A friend of mine dyed her hair that awful black color that soooo many women over40 seem to go for ...ack! Then she used all this stuff in her hair; needless to say it was a hay stack and she appeared to have terminal dandruff...I mentioned that she should talk( she asked me I did NOT volunteer) to her stylist as she went every 4 weeks and was spending over $100 a pop...then buying all those expensive products. Now she no longer has fender black hair; it is red...not that much of an improvement but at least the dandruff is gone! Because she quit using products and blow drying....Mmmmm...

Hmmm....that's a tricky thing to bring up. If it's a friend, significant other or colleague, you could casually bring it up in a conversation. Perhaps you could start talking about hair, and then mention how a while ago you noticed that you had developed dandruff...don't forget to tell them how you learned to check for it...then talk about how you "fixed" the problem. This way you're planting the idea, but not injuring the person if you don't know them well enough to be direct. What do you think?

This never happened to me. If it did and it was a friend I would mention it and try to help her/him/them with that problem. I myself have dandruffs but thankfully it is not extreme so it does not show unless I start scratching my head the days where it itches and is oily and do not stop.
