I posted in your poll too. I did this once... with Loreal and corrected with Loreal ;-) I dyed my hair black (it is naturally medium brown with red). I loved the black color, until after a few washes a nasty blue/green became apparent, which did not go at all with the usual red undertones. I corrected it by re-dyeing a dark red, although it took a couple of months of touchups before the mistake was undetectable. If you have the money, I would recommend having a professional fix your problem rather than trying trial and error at home. If you do want to try to fix it yourself, give more information about how light you want to go and what your natural haircolor is, etc. Also, be prepared for some breakage and get some serious conditioner!
