I have finally decided to quit dying my black hair and let the grey grow in. It doesn't look bad, but it's yellowish...how can I make the grey silver? Any home remediies or do I have to go to the beuty supply store?

Try using an extra cleansing or clarifying shampoo at least once a week. Gray hair is often porous and will absorb things from the atmosphere (like smoke) or the water (like minerals) The shampoo may cleanse this.
If that doesn't work, there are rinses (no not blue !) and hair color glossers that will camoflage the yellow.

Speaking of grey hair; I used some dye on my hair to cover the grey and it changed the rest of my hair but didn't do anything to the grey!

Hmmm.. You most likely need longer timing on the color. Sometimes gray hair is very resistant to color and needs longer provessing.
Do you like the color the rest of your hair turned?
