I am looking for any and all advice on buns for a bride. she doesn't have a ton of hair and i am stuck. thanks.

Have you thought of using a "rat" That's the only term I could think of for stuffing the bun with extra hair that doesn't happen to belong to the bride. They used to make artificial "rats" and you may still be able to find one at Sallys Supply.
I have made my own from other long hair that has been cut off. Bind it together with a rubber band, wind it around like a bun and fan the bride's hair over it.
