OK, I finally did it, I took off at least 10" so I could donate it to www.locksoflove.com - a website that builds beautiful wigs for children cancer patients.

I took our Hair Host's advice and left it just below the shoulders so it could swing around. It's so much nicer to have it short in the summer!!

Thanks for the suggestion, Lynne!!

Wow!

I *LOVE* it, Lisa! You look Beeee-U-Tiful!! And somehow it makes you look younger, too. The fact that you did it for such a worthy cause is even more lovely.

Thanks for sharing!

I'm still in shock a bit, I haven't had it this short for many, many years Definitely before the 7 years I've been with Bob. But it's so nice not to be catching my hair everywhere

Lisa, you look terrific! I think it's great that you donated your pretty hair. A little girl in my church class did that last year and was so proud of herself. That's where I first heard of the program, because we all praised her unselfishness.

Awwww thanks. It really is pretty amazing to look at the before-after pictures of the children that get these wigs. Their whole attitude is different, they are so much happier. It's such a small thing for me to give up, really, to give another human so much joy.

by the way, I was without internet service since Tuesday morning until this morning (Thursday)-except for a short time where it came back and then faded away or I would have been here sooner.

Very pretty Lisa. Both the before and the after. You could probably try many different styles and they would all look great. Then again with that smile how could anything look bad on you?

Are you having an easier time with your styling routine?

My daughter, Elizabeth, donated ten inches of her hair to Locks of Love a couple of years ago. She has since grown back that hair... I may have her donate some more in another year. Her hair is very curly - if you watch American Idol, her hair is a lot like Justin's...

What a nice thing for Elizabeth to do. She must have really healthy hair to have grown it back again and a healthy attitude to be willing to donate it.
