Okay,

I LOVE Star Trek: TNG. Am I the only one who is watching the marathons on TNN every other Sunday?

I didn't realize they were doing those again! They did those a while back and I was hooked on them. I was/am a huge Riker fan. My ex looked a lot like Riker and one year I made him the uniform even I'll have to watch out for those ...

One of my favorite episodes was the one where Wesley went to Will and Gaina to ask about love. The two sit at a table in 10-forward and go into this seductive conversation which is just great

We caught a bit of this over the weekend with my nephew (who is 8). He LOVES the movies, but needed some explanation. We were watching Spock's 'resurrection' and regaining of his memories, and Matthew was fascinated by the concepts. He has such a vivid mind, and is ready to stretch it to the limit. The Trek films are perfect for him right now. He's well ahead of his actual years... he will be watching as much as he can!

I've gotta find a trekkie convention out here where I live. I've never been to one and I think it'd be great!

I did a Trek con waaaaaay back in the early 1980's, and it was fun! I'm sure they are way over the top by now, but you really should go at least once.

And you can rent the movie "Trekkies" to get a feel for the lifestyle, too. It's a real kick.

There was a funny Saturday Night Live episode with William Shatner, pretending he was at a Trek convention. He yelled at them all, telling them to "Move out of their parents basements" and get on with life.

I remember that skit! It was a riot - the Trekkies were grilling him about minute details from ancient episodes, and he was just so appalled... I'd love to see that one again.

Hi all,

Glad to see that I'm not the only Star Trek junkie here.

I'm in Canada, and everyday we get our own mini-marathon with four hours of ST-an episode from each series-on our Space Channel.

Needless to say I don't get much done between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm (besides alot of knitting). Personally I think Kirk would have been much less-stressed if he'd had a hobby, but that's just a personal insight...

I loved that episode of SNL-I remember Shatner telling all of them to, "Get a Life!" Classic.

On a related topic-is anyone watching the new "Enterprise" series? What do you think? I'm warming up to it (Scott Bakula was never hard to look at), though some of the characters need a bit more developing. I like the idea of exploring the history of the early Federation.

And anyone anxiously awaiting the new "Spiderman" movie? I'm trying to convince my six year old son that he really needs to see it so I have a reason to go, but he's just getting into the whole superhero thing. I'm sure I can drag him along, just to keep his old mom from singing the theme song to the old cartoon series one more time.

Here's a summary of the episode:

December 20, 1986

And being in 1986, you can get the best of 1986 which hopefully should have the clip (tho I can't find confirmation)

Wow!!! I really started something with that Star Trek Post.

I saw the movie Trekkies. I also liked the behind the scenes episode of TNG when a kid asks Johnathan Frakes (Riker) for an autograph. When he asks the boy what to write, the boy says, "To: (whatever his name was), from (I think he said) William Shatner.

About Spiderman, there's a thread in the Box Office forum.
