Sorry looks like I posted that last message in the wrong area. But my son Matthew is a special needs child. Matthew is 22 months old and the only words he knows are NO and MOM. He has been diagnosed with DLD (developmental language disorder). He will be starting speech therapy at All Childrens next Tuesday. I pray that this helps him. He does not seem to realize that I am talking to him most of the time. He just looks at me blankly. I know he understands some things that I say. Such as when I say "do you want a drink", he will yell and run towards the kitchen because he knows thats where the drink is. But with most things he just stares at me when I attempt to talk to him. He is my everything and I pray that some day he will be able to say "I love you mommy." I do know he loves me, he is such an affectionate boy. Loves hugs and kisses. Loves to push mommy and daddy's head together so that we kiss and then kiss him. I pray he overcomes this so that he can have more from life. But if he doesn't then I will be very happy to take care of him forever. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
