ooooo just maybe...

Hi,
I had this SIMPLE recipe for Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread baked in a Bundt pan. It was made using refrigerator-tube biscuits, cutting them in quarters, shaking them in sugar and cinnamon then putting into the bundt pan. Then you boiled butter and sugar and poured it over top of the biscuit formation in the bundt pan. Bake, wha-laa, pull-apart!

BUT, I do not have the recipe any longer to know how much of what to put in there! Any help out there?

I loved in Texas at the time I got this recipe if that helps any!

Thanks in Advance!

Hi.
Here's a version of the recipe that I have. Hope it helps!
Nonstick cooking spray
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons diet margarine
2 pop-cans refrigerated dinner rolls (the refrigerated French loaf dough can also be used)

Generously coat a 2-quart casserole dish or 9" x 5" loaf pan (or the Bundt pan) with the nonstick cooking spray; set aside. Preheat oven to 375F. In a small shallow bowl, blend the sugar with the cinnamon. Melt the butter and diet margarine together in a small, microwave-safe shallow bowl using the DEFROST power of your microwave, or melt in a small saucepan and pour into a small, shallow bowl. Open the pop-cans and pull the rolls apart and place on a cutting board.

Cut each of the rolls in half (to make two half-moons). Then dip each of the half-moon-shaped pieces of dough into the butter mixture then roll in the sugar mixture to coat all sides. Place the coated pieces of dough on top of each other in the prepared pan. The dough should almost reach the top of the pan or dish. Sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture over the top. Bake in the center of the oven for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown. Let cool slightly, then remove the bread from the pan and place on a serving dish or plate.

Yield Makes 8 servings

That sounds like a recipe my mom used to make. We called it monkey bread but I'm not sure if she made up the name or not. Her recipe is almost like the one Aime posted. Now I'm getting hungry... <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

When my kids were small, we would get together with other moms and kids once a week for "Playgroup" - the kids would play, and the moms had coffee, tea and "Monkey Cake." Yes, this is a yummy and simple recipe! I think I'll head for the kitchen - my mouth is watering! Thanks for sharing!
