Admittedly, I like more exotic flavors.
My favorite is Edy's Dreamery Black Raspberry Avalanche. [imageBellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code. If you don't know how to do UBB code just post here for help - we will help out!

I like a lot of different flavors. Mint chip is good, so are things with thin ribbons of caramel in them. I use Working Assets long distance for my phone and I get a coupon for a free pint of Ben & Jerry's every month. Nice....
There is one brand of vanilla ice cream that is a fave. It's made by a local Bay Area company called The Latest Scoop, and they only sell their product wholesale (to stores and resturants). Their ice cream style is more European, less air/more cream, and the vanilla is just SWIMMING with bean flecks! It is either my good or bad fortune that I stumbled across a cafe in my neighborhood that carries their flavors.

Raspberry by a landslide, I use raspberry pie filling in creamy vanilla homemade ice cream. I sure could use a home cooked ice cream recipe, not using junket or pudding.

I love Godiva's milk chocolate for just regular ice cream.
But when I'm in the mood for something different, or if i'm not feeling well, I like this recipe for Earl Grey Gelato I found in Cooking Light magazine. i put the recipe on here under the "tea and coffee" forum earlier this year.

Here is a homemade custard recipe for you:
2 c milk 1 1/4 c sugar 4 eggs, beaten 1 tsp vanilla Cook this as custard and take off heat. Mix in: 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 qt whipping cream Pour into ice cream freezer can and add enough milk to finish up freezer and freeze.
I always add 2 cups peaches (which is about 4 peaches) or strawberries. I may have to dust off the old ice cream freezer from the basement and make some!
Oh, and my favorite flavor is Cherry Limeade Sherbert

My all time favorite ice cream is def. Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk =). Let me take a minute to describe it to you all =) It starts with Chocolate Ice Cream and has White and Dark Chocolate Chunks in it in addition to Pecans, Walnuts, and Chocolate Covered Almonds!! A chocolate-lover's dream =). And I recently found a recipe (to make it at home) online. Let me know if anyone is interested (I will def. be trying it after Lent)!

I recently just tried this flavor called Cake Batter... it had sprinkles in it... it was a little bit more sweet than I could normally handle on a big scale basis, but for a few bites, it was heavenly. You should try it. I don't rememeber where I got it, Baskin robbine, and ben and jerrys or someplace like that.

It might be quicker to tell you the kinds I don't like...
From the store I like the Haagen Daaz brand ice cream. The other day I had a special one it was strawberry short cake, with chunks of the short cake in it. I really like one they have that is Black Rasberry ice cream swirled with vanilla with chocolate chips in it.
We also like Marble Slab Creamery, today we stopped by and I had their deep dark chocolate with some strawberry ice cream as well. We also like Baskin Robbins, my favorite of theirs is their chocolate chip.

One of these days for my daughters birthday or a get together I am going to make my own ice cream sandwiches. Has anyone had those cookies that are chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips? Those would make a nice cookie for that along with chocolate chip cookies as well.

My favourite - Christmas Pudding & Macadamia Nut Ice cream - I found this recipe last November and boy, was it a hit over Christmas. People assumed I had been slaving for days - so simple - buy some good quality vanilla bean ice cream, crumble in some Christmas pudding and a handful of quartered macadamia nuts and freeze overnight. Serve with some prunes that have been soaked in brandy for a day or so and with warm caramel sauce (you can buy the sauce if making it is too much hassle) Yum!

I love chocolate chip but normally if I have some I get low-sugar vanilla and then I have a stock of sugar-free chips and add those in myself. I know some of you might feel low sugar ice cream would taste icky - but actually it is *delicious*. And with the advances they've made in sugar substitutes, the sugar-free chips are delicious. I adore dark chocolate and dark chocolate is pretty much sugar free naturally, so it's no sacrifice at all.

Chocolate with "stuff" added - marshmallows, caramel, choc chunks, almonds, etc. Also like green mint chocolate chip. Don't have a specific brand name - altho Ben & Jerry usually has great choices. Donna

i love chubby hubby, peanut butter cup, cherries garcia, and almost any chocolate and fruit combo as long as it's a vanilla base i can get too chocolated out if its a chocolate base. I can only handle so much richness.

I like Breyer's peach most! Breyer's vanilla (just the vanilla bean, not extra creamy, French, etc) would be in second place.
I don't like ice cream flavors with too many chunks in it or a combination of too many flavors. I like to focus on one flavor only.
Also, I don't like anything with marshmallow and I don't like mint!

My favorite of all time is really when we use our machine to make some at home, but usually when I decide I want some ice cream I don't want to wait another 1/2 hour for it to get created Also we don't keep cream in the house so we have to prepare even longer ahead

My absolute favorite ice-cream is Hagaan Daaz Coffee followed by Hagaan Daaz Bailey's, then Frozen Strawberry Yogurt. HG is too high in fat to have on a regular basis so it's a one or twice a year treat. We're not big ice-cream eaters. We seem to go through phases where we'll have it every night for a week then not touch it for months. In the summer we prefer the frozen fruit juice thingy's on a stick.

My all time favorite is a Carvel Ice Cream cake - not a flavor but my all time favorite ice cream. Starts with chocolate at the bottom, chocolate crunchies in the middle with a top layer of vanilla. It is then frosted with the BEST cake frosting ever.
Turkey Hill had an apple crisp or apple pie ice cream around Thanksgiving that was to DIE for. Good thing it is only available once a year!

My favorite flavor is French Silk by Stuchi's. It is a smooth light chocolate with slivers of high grade chocholate spread throughout. MMMM, my mouth is watering just describing it.

Anything chocolate! Mint chocolate chip, plain chocolate, moose tracks, chocolate fudge, rocky road, espresso, tin roof sundae!
Also, maple walnut and I actually really like vanilla.

My all time favorite is a Carvel Ice Cream cake - not a flavor but my all time favorite ice cream. Starts with chocolate at the bottom, chocolate crunchies in the middle with a top layer of vanilla. It is then frosted with the BEST cake frosting ever. I agree! Carvel Ice Cream Cakes are sooo good!

My new favorite is green tea ice cream. I got it at the pier in Redondo Beach, Ca., and also a Chinese buffet in Prescott, AZ. Delicious and refreshing!

Jamoca Almond Fudge from 31 Flavors - but, I do not know if they still make that flavor. It was soooo good!

I still love my Chocolate Chip COokie Dough smothered in hot fudge! Just had some over the weekend and I'm going to the market to get some more for tonight.

It was probably like 10+ years ago, but I remember going to a local ice cream parlor and getting a flavour called Fist Full O' Fudge. To this day I still remember how delicious it was...can't rememberan amazing chocolate ice cream base, mixed with a chocolate fudge ice cream and then there were swirls of actual fudge throughout it. mmmm....Delicious!
Sadly I haven't seen the flavour again since! anyone else heard of it??

I've posted several homemade ice cream recipes - no mixes or pudding - on the Quick Cooking Site. One is my Grandma's that is a cooked custard; the others are uncooked, but they are all good. Check them out and let me know if you like them.

Hi,
I like strawberry, green tea, and tofu flavored ice cream.

Hi,
I like strawberry, green tea, and tofu flavored ice cream. Tofu flavored? I always thought that tofu basically had no flavor, that it was kind of like a base that you added flavor to. What does tofu.. ice cream.. taste... like?

It's my favorite treat and it is plain boring "vanilla" bu tnot just any vanilla. Has to be a very good quality, homemade or gelato. Brand wise Brueggers is on top of list.

There is an excellent Asian grocery store that opened in my city recently, and they have an amazing selection of exotic ice creams. The strangest one I've had so far is Durian ice cream. For those of you not familiar with durian, it is a fruit that is grown in southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia) and it smells like a combination of rotten meat and feet! You are not allowed to cut open durian in hotels (actual sign posted in the rooms) or carry it on a plane! But the ice cream is pretty good! I have also tried their tarro ice cream. My favorite though is lychee ice cream.

Moose Tracks! (That's the kind with pb cups and fudgey bits -- I adore those fudgey bits!)
I also like chocolate, vanilla -- boring, I know, but I especially like vanilla on either apple crisp or cake-top chocolate pudding. (Volcano cake-ish recipe I've been making since before I ever saw volcano cake.)
My least favorites would be coffee, any fruit flavor (I like fruit, just not in things -- other than that apple crisp!) or anything with nuts.
