I hope that someone can offer some helpful info on something that happened to a client of mine. After one of our workouts last week she experienced bleeding but it wasn't just spotting she said it was more like a heavy day. Then the next day nothing. She had her period two weeks before. She thought maybe our workouts may have been too intense but I assured her that they were not. She's only a beginner and the program I designed for her is very basic. I told her that maybe she's pregnant but she said her husband uses protection. I told her that it's not always effective and she should see a doctor but she refuses to go. She's in her late 30's and has never had a gynecologist exam. I know this sounds strange but a lot of women from Mexico are very shy and shameful about stuff like that. So I'm wondering what else I can tell her. I don't think she confides in many people and I feel bad not being able to offer any other information. Any suggestions?

I have heard that diet and exercise can change periods. I am not sure what to tell her, but if it continues I would see a doctor. Keep me posted.
