Well... I don't cope! I whine, I agonize, I fall apart. I don't get them often, but when I do they are doozies. I sleep as much as possible, guzzle Campbells Vegetarian Vegegable soup (the one with the ABC's and 123's - it's a tradition with me), and toss my well-worn copy of the movie "Labyrinth" into the VCR. It always seems to help me feel better. Oh, and I take a lot of really hot showers to open up my breathing, and being clean makes me feel less sick.
If you have fresh sage leaves, you can brew some sage tea, which helps raggedy throats. I like that, and also catnip tea. Don't do that if you are a nursing mother, though.
