Hello from Adelaide, South Australia. Need an applique pattern to add to the border of a quilt I am planning for my husband. Impossible to find anything related to fishing eg: Fly fisherman casting a line, creels, fish, tied flies. Am not looking for naive or bright look but old fashioned, country look. Quilt will be a mix of tartan flannels. Any info welcome.

shows a machine embroidery design. Right click image to copy...or print page and enlarge to suit.
This one is likely copyrighted so you might need to take that into consideration.
A google search for
fish "applique pattern" quilt
will give additional possibilities.
Another source to try is a Google Image search. Just click on the Image tab and search for fish, fly fishing, fisherman, etc.

There is a book that I reviewed by C&T Publishing that has two quilts that are fishing related. One had appliqued trout that looked like they were swimming in a riverbed. You might check it out - the link will take you to the book listing at Amazon so you can take a look at it. Quilts for Guys

Quilts For Guys is a great book. It has 13 different patterns for guys. I have made 2 of them and going for the 3rd. You will like this book.
