Well, my cousin had her baby three weeks early. I hadn't even picked out fabrics or a pattern! How dare she? I took a little time yesterday to at least start the preliminary planning. I know that the cousin is a Kansas City Chiefs fan, so I'll be using Chiefs fabric to back it. This works so well as the NFL fabrics are all about 60" wide, so I won't have to piece the backing. I'm also using a red tone on tone and a yellow tone on tone for the top, along with a crazy crayon print that goes with the two colors (or any other color, for that matter!). The red and yellow, for those that don't know, are also the Chiefs colors. (They are also Iowa State Cyclones colors, which will drive one of my uncles crazy as he is a Hawkeyes fan. ) I'm going to use the pattern Positive/Negative from Debbie Kratovil's
web page . This is a neat looking pattern that could be done up using only three fabrics. I printed off some foundations last night and might be able to get started later today or tomorrow.
Oh, the baby was a girl, by the way. Her name is Destiny Marie, and she was 5 pounds, 10 ounces, and 18 inches long.
