Has anyone experienced wedding jitters? If so, how did you handle it?

I'd already been living with the man for quite a while before we married, so it was more like a celebration party than anything else. I looked at it like throwing any other party - that people were coming to have fun, and that I was going to have fun too. It doesn't have to be 'perfect' - things always go wrong at parties, and they make for great stories later on. All that really matters is that everybody enjoys being together.

I'm beginning to feel nervous and a bit scared. It's a big decision, but when I was with him last night, I knew all would be fine.

Yes I did get them, I kept busy and that made the time go by and before I new it, it was time to go. I really had them because I allready had kids and I was very nervous if I was doing the right thing for not only my kids but my husband too. I think it is normal because it is a very life changing experience. I kept thinking I'm going to trip or my dress would be in my undies or my hair would be messy etc etc..but none of that happened so I know this is easy to say but hard to do.....all will be fine

I think there are two halves - the nervous 'did I do the rights thing' and the nervous 'will I make a fool of myself'

So if you think to yourself, I've already made this decision, and I made it fully, then you don't need to get nervous about the 'right thing'. Because the decision was already made. Now it's just the celebration of that decision.

If you're nervous about the 'make a fool', think of all the truly disastrous things that have happened at weddings, and people still had fun. Since the chance of all of them happening at your wedding is slim, whatever does happen will be minor

I'm feeling much more calmer & happier. We reconnected and I can't wait until we get married. Thanks for the advice.
