I'm in the process of adding links to as many orchid sellers as possible and need your help. Please post your favorite orchid sites here or send them to me via email. I'll then review them for inclusion in the Vendor section. Thanks!

The couple that owns this company are good friends of mine, and their recent wedding was festooned with Lady's Slippers *everywhere*, both cut and in pots.

White Oak Orchids is located in the San Francisco Bay Area. They specialize in "the weird and the wonderful."

Thanks for the link, Rae. They have a nice site. I like the fact that the photos are large close-ups so you can see what the plants really look like while in bloom.

One thing you can also ask them about is the smell of the plant. For some people, having a plant which puts out an aroma is the most important feature. I've smelled both subtle and strong orchids, and a strong one can "stink" up a room on a warm day, which could be a good or bad thing depending on one's tastes.

Scott, the owner of White Oak Orchids, is very sensitive to smell and can fine tune a plant selection if fragrance is one of the paramount characteristics.

Laura,

Thanks so much for the kind words. I hope that we can get some more people interested in posting about their orchids.

I have ordered from Carter & Holmes, too. Love their catalog with all the great photos.

Thanks for the link to your site--you've done some great work and have some beautiful orchids to brag about <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
