Hi everyone,

There's an English pointer puppy in Northern California who desparately needs a home. He was recently rescued from the animal shelter there, just before he was scheduled to be euthanized.

The shelter beleived he was deaf, because he's such a handful, but the rescuers have discovered that he's not deaf, just full of energy!

He desparately needs a structured home and some good obedience training, and he will be a wonderful dog.

English pointers are amazing, loving dogs with lots of personality. We have two pointer rescues in our household, and they are wonderful. They are alarm barkers but never biters, and the just love people. Our little purebred also points (which is pretty cool!).

The pointer rescue group is called PointerRescue.org. In addition to a home for the pup in Northern California, they also are in desparate need of new foster homes.

If you can provide a temporary - or permanent! -home to a homeless pointer, please contact them right away. We fostered one of our rescues before finally adopting her ourselves, and it was a great experience.

If anyone has any questions about this breed or the organization, please feel free to email me!
