Like the first film, i think the second film was a brilliant masterpeice!!! . It rocked! I saw it twice and would still love to see it again.I also think that Gollum has been the biggest advance in cgi's since Star Wars:The Phantom Menace.his script is perfect. He looks so real, that at some points he is almost frightneing eek

I got the PS2 game for christmas and love it immensly! I actualy found these forums while looking for tips on the "Gap of Rohan" Level.

I would really like to thank LISA SHEA for her help.
Without her, I would still be shooting futile arrows at that loser riding the big hairy rat

Anyways, have a good holiday all and best wishes for lisa!

You're right. Lisa is the best. For those who don't know her, Lisa is the mastermind around Bella who allows all of us hosts to play here.

My King in Exile, stick around and enjoy. We are a friendly lot. You might only find lamas bread to eat, but a little wine has been shared in the past.

Anton, I don't remember the elves fighting the battle at Helms Deep, nobody I know who has read the book remembers the arrival of elves either. I am quite sure that it didn't happen in the book. However I thought it was very cool when the elves came and kicked some Orc butt! Very cool!

Anyhoo, what scenes does everybody else like?

By the way, Lisa is great!

Hello! The Two Towers is my favorite movie of all time!! I love battle scenes and Frodo is soooooo adorable and Aragorn is awesome! and hot for a man 30 years older then me im a huge fan of Lord of the Rings movies and books. I thought they did a fantastic job! there were parts different from the book but i thought it was more interesting and exciting with them.

Ah yes, the elves... for those of you who haven't read the book, they are right, they weren't at Helm's Deep. I took this as just some artistic license that PJ took, and it didn't bother me... there were a few changes, but I thought he stayed true to most of the character and spirit of the book. I guess he put the elves there to show that the old alliances of free peoples of Middle Earth were coming together again, so I was OK with it.. I noticed a few other things too, but attributed it to the difficulty of translating a 400 pg book into a 3 hour movie... wasn't really looking for a literal every-detail-included movie... I think that would have been too much for the big screen!

What DID bug me was that they had to kill off Haldir, one of my favorite characters, in the movie! Probably a disappointment only surpassed when I found out that Craig Parker, the cute Kiwi who plays him, is quite openly gay, hehe. Guess you can't win 'em all!

PS: Anton--I personally found the cartoon version of LOTR to be not what I was hoping for, but you judge for yourself. I probably would rent it rather than buy it first. As for fave movie... hmm, that's tough. I like a lot of different genres so my old time favorites might include stuff like The Graduate, Dangerous Liaisons & American Beauty. I think it's hard to find a good intelligent sci-fi these days, don't you? In that category, movies like Blade Runner, Brazil, Gattaca and The Matrix (the 2nd Matrix is another movie I'll be standing in long lines for this summer, I'm sure!)
